About the Artist
Kristen Baker is the creative force behind Sketchbook by Kristen, a Tampa-based artist known for her warm, joyful style and her passion for celebrating the bond between people and their pets.
Originally from a small town in Upstate New York, Kristen grew up surrounded by nature and adventure — experiences that shaped her artistic eye and love for capturing personality and emotion through art. That connection to animals deepened when she adopted her beloved dog, Bucky, through Compassion Kind. Since then, her mission has been not only to create art, but to give back.

As part of her commitment to rescue work, 30% of proceeds from her Paint Your Pal Pawties are donated to Compassion Kind, helping more animals find loving homes — just like Bucky did.
Every piece she creates is crafted with intention — not just to capture a likeness, but to reflect the joy, personality, and connection behind it.

About the Cause
CJPaws is a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming cats in need throughout the Tampa Bay area. Every ticket purchased for this event directly supports their mission — with $10 donated per guest to help provide food, vet care, and safe housing for rescue kitties.
After registering, you’ll receive an email from hello@sketchbookbykristen.com asking for your fur baby’s photo. Kristen will pre-sketch your pet’s portrait directly onto a wooden ornament for you to paint at the workshop. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or picking up a brush for the very first time, this workshop is for everyone! No painting experience needed! I’ll walk you through the painting process step by step.
